The Chancellor of Covenant University, Dr. David Oyedepo, has emphasized the importance of holistic education and spiritual growth in the grooming of balanced next-generation leaders. Speaking at the opening session of the "Towards a Total Graduate" (TTG) program, organized by the University's African Leadership Development Centre (ALDC), he urged students to pay close attention to the lectures designed to prepare them for life after graduation.

The Chancellor of Covenant University, Dr. David O. Oyedepo, has called on the students of Covenant University to engage in productive activities during their Omega Semester break for the 2023/2024 academic session. This appeal was made during the Departure Assembly of the University, which marked the end of the academic session.

The Covenant University Management celebrates the remarkable achievement of six undergraduate students from the Department of Accounting, who recently passed the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) examinations, to qualify as Associate Chartered Accountants. This milestone was facilitated by the Covenant Professional Accountancy Center (C-PAC), which proudly presented the outstanding students who excelled in the May 2024 Professional Examination, while maintaining a CGPA of above 4.6, to the University Management.

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Abiodun H. Adebayo, has expressed heartfelt appreciation to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) team of the University, for their valuable contributions to the progress of the institution. He expressed this in a special meeting, with the Analytical Team and SDG champions for Goals 1-17, which was a platform for the Vice-Chancellor to commend their efforts and encourage enhanced excellence.

Covenant University recorded another significant milestone in its annal history as alumna, Dr. (Mrs.) Aderonke Atinuke Oni of the Department of Computer and Information Sciences became the first Eagle (graduate of the University) to attain the rank of full professor of Covenant University.

The Chancellor’s Cup event, an annual sporting event in honour of the Chancellor, Covenant University, Dr. David O. Oyedepo, was recently hosted at the Covenant University Ultra-Modern Sports Complex, featuring finals for various sports competitions in numerous games, including swimming, badminton, athletics, board games, handball, rugby, female football, volleyball, tennis, table tennis, basketball, and weightlifting, as winners from previous matches qualified to compete for the coveted Cup.

The Committee of Deans of Engineering and Technology of Nigerian Universities (CODET), Ota, Ogun State, recently held the Southwest-II (Lagos, Ogun, and Oyo States) 7th Zonal CODET Engineering Students’ Project 2024 Competition, at the College of Engineering, Covenant University.

Covenant University has added another accolade to its impressive list of achievements as students from the Department of Mass Communications secured the first prize at the Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria (ARCON) Colloquium 2.0 Competition for 2024.
