Speaking at the opening session of the "Towards a Total Graduate" (TTG) program, organized by the University's African Leadership Development Centre (ALDC), he urged students to pay close attention to the lectures designed to prepare them for life after graduation.

This appeal was made during the Departure Assembly of the University, which marked the end of the academic session.
The Covenant University Management celebrates the remarkable achievement of six undergraduate students from the Department of Accounting, who recently passed the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) examinations, to qualify as Associate Chartered Accountants. This milestone was facilitated by the Covenant Professional Accountancy Center (C-PAC), which proudly presented the outstanding students who excelled in the May 2024 Professional Examination, while maintaining a CGPA of above 4.6, to the University Management.

Covenant University recorded another significant milestone in its annal history as alumna, Dr. (Mrs.) Aderonke Atinuke Oni of the Department of Computer and Information Sciences became the first Eagle (graduate of the University) to attain the rank of full professor of Covenant University.
The Chancellor’s Cup event, an annual sporting event in honour of the Chancellor, Covenant University, Dr. David O. Oyedepo, was recently hosted at the Covenant University Ultra-Modern Sports Complex, featuring finals for various sports competitions in numerous games, including swimming, badminton, athletics, board games, handball, rugby, female football, volleyball, tennis, table tennis, basketball, and weightlifting, as winners from previous matches qualified to compete for the coveted Cup.
